Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Fort Wayne Curling Club has adopted the following COVID policies:
- Please do not enter the club if you are not feeling well.
- When the Allen County COVID Advisory Level is Orange or Red, per the Indiana State Department of Health, masks will be required in the club at all times except when actively eating or drinking or seated at a table (if fully vaccinated). The only exception to this rule is private events where all participants have been previously exposed to one another. For these events, masks are optional (but recommended) for the participants. Club member volunteers will be masked.
- The rules of play have largely returned to normal USA Curling Rules which can be found here, with the exception being that the use of multiple simultaneous sweepers is contingent on all sweepers being vaccinated. Vaccination status is on the honor system.
- In the event of a COVID exposure in the club, the following quarantine requirements will apply:
- If you are fully vaccinated, there is no quarantine requirement. We ask that you monitor for symptoms and take your temperature before entering the club.
- If you are not fully vaccinated, there is a 5-day quarantine period during which time we ask you not to enter the club.
- In the event that someone in your household tests positive, due to the ongoing exposure to this person, we ask that you quarantine for 5 days from the last day that your family member had symptoms. Alternatively, you can take a COVID test within 24 hours of entering the club.
