Learn to Curl 04-05-2024
A Learn to Curl session is the perfect introduction to the Olympic sport of Curling.
No experience or equipment necessary. The Fort Wayne Curling Club will provide all necessary equipment and will have its experienced volunteer members on hand to coach you through the entire process.
Each Learn to Curl starts with 30-45 minutes of on-ice instruction where you will learn the rules of the game, the mechanics of the delivery of the stone and sweeping.
Next, you will have 1 - 1.5 hours of gameplay amongst the participants with our members serving as coaches.
Social time will be available in our bar before and after the event.
Please wear clothing that provides for freedom of movement. Jeans are NOT recommended. Sweatpants, track pants, golf pants and yoga pants (for the ladies) are much better options. Dress in layers as our ice room is 40 degrees but you will warm up as you play. Some like to have hats and/or gloves.
We recommend this event for ages 9 and up. We can make accommodations for any physical issues.
