Hoosier Cup

The Hoosier Cup is a semi-annual challenge cup between the Fort Wayne Curling Club and the Circle City (Indianapolis) Curling Club. Initiated in 2011 as an annual event, due to the overwhelming popularity of the event at both clubs, the event is now run semi-annually as a home and home series.

Below is the prestigious trophy that is held by the winner of the Hoosier Cup until the next event:

Hoosier Cup

The Hoosier Cup series is currently tied at two wins apiece for the Fort Wayne Curling Club (FWCC) and the Circle City Curling Club (CCCC).

The results to date of the Hoosier Cup have been as follows (winners in bold):

2011 - held at the Fort Wayne Curling Club on May 7, 2011 - FWCC, CCCC - Exact score has been lost in the sands of time, but this was a blowout with Fort Wayne winning only 3 of 16 matches.

Spring 2012 - held at the Circle City Curling Club on April 7, 2012 - FWCC, CCCC - Exact score is not known, but Fort Wayne made a late push in the 4th draw but came up slightly short.  This was a much more competitive event than the inaugural event.

Fall 2012 - Held at the Fort Wayne Curling Club on October 14, 2012 - FWCC 262 pts, CCCC 216 pts

Spring 2013 - Held at the Circle City Curling Club on - FWCC 68 pts, CCCC 60 pts

Fall 2013 - Held on January 26th at the Fort Wayne Curling Club - FWCC 437, CCCC 282* - * indicates that this occurrence of the Hoosier Cup was played in severely inclement weather that prevented 5 individuals from making the trip up to Fort Wayne.  The Circle City Team competed with just 3 teams that had to play in all 4 draws,
